The Cache Console is a table designed by American designer Paul McCobb in 1952. The table is currently in production by the Danish company Karakter. This table lends itself well as both a desk and a console table, depending on your needs. Cache Console has a base consisting of narrow, straight legs in steel. The black powder-coated base is contrasted by a lacquered oak tabletop. In this version, the table comes with legs included, making it ideal for use as a desk. If you want to use the table as a console table, there is also a version without legs. The Cache Desk Organizer is also part of the same series and makes it easy to keep paper and other accessories in order.
The Cache Console is part of the comprehensive Planner series. The series was created in the 1950s by McCobb, one of America's greatest designers of the mid-fourth century, who first brought modern design into the American home. The whole series is characterized by McCobb's pared-down design, with no unnecessary decoration, but which at the same time feels warm and accessible. With its simplicity and clean lines, the Planner series became one of the most successful furniture lines of its time.
