The Bertoia Side Chair from Knoll was designed by Harry Bertoia in 1952 and has become a modern design icon over the years. To celebrate Bertoia's centenary, the chair was released with a plastic seat, available in a choice of colors. The seat is attached to a base with steel links. A cushion in a choice of colors is available as an option. The Bertoia Plastic Side Chair is available for indoor and outdoor use.
Bertoia was best known as a sculptor and designed only one furniture collection. Although he did not work primarily as an interior designer, his furniture was highly regarded and is still sold around the world today.
