The name Karl-Johan is often associated with one of Sweden's most common edible fungi but in the design world it is better known as a table lamp. The Karl-Johan table lamp from New Works of Denmark was designed in 2015 by Signe Hytte and is now available as a wall lamp in a new design. The wall lamp has a shade of either opal glass with a smokey glass base or with a black oak base. The stylish shape and choice of materials means it can be used as a stand-out feature or to complement and blend in with the rest of the interior. The light source for the Karl-Johan table lamp is not included, but Nordiska Galleriet recommends the LED Filament lamp. Together with the light bulb, Karl-Johan emits a pleasant and powerful light.
