Big Buds is part of the Giancarlo Valle Collection rug collection designed by New York-based designer Giancarlo Valle for the Nordic Knots brand. The rugs are handmade in New Zealand wool with a tactile softness and a clear design presence in the room. The rugs in the collection have decorative and organic motifs that draw inspiration from hand-painted furniture in Valle's childhood home in Guatemala City. The shape of each rug is asymmetrical with playfully cut corners and the color language for a dialogue between Nordic folklore and Latin American traditions. Each rug is produced in limited editions, with only a few copies in each size. The rugs are perfect as central objects in, for example, a living room.
