Skogsberg & Smart was established in 2008 by Magnus Skogsberg and Mimmi Smart. The company toook off with the launch of the Hurricane hand lamp. Coming from a creative background in advertising and media, Magnus and Mimmi created a brand of dynamic and creative productions with a luxurious, contemporary design.

The hand-blown glass that characterizes the brand is created by artists in Bohemia, in the Czech Republic, an area where you can find the world’s most famous glassblowers. After the initial success with Hurricane, they have continued to design exclusive candle holders and lamps that create unique and luxurious interior design pieces in a widely acclaimed design.

Hurricane - a model with many variations

A series of collaborations between the design duo and other well-established brands have taken shape over the years. The Hurricane lamp remains the basis of Skogsberg & Smart, today produced both as a range of exclusive candle holders and a range of designer lamps. The electric lamps are made to order and sold exclusively through NO-GA or Charles Burnand of London.

A new model of the Hurricane Soda lantern, characterized by bubbles in the glass, in a sea-green color, was produced exclusively for Svenskt Tenn in 2016. Another variant in black was developed in conjunction with Candelize, a company that manufactures packs of high-quality, exclusive candle wax for the convenient refilling of your favorite scented candles. The Wicked Woods fragrance was created as a duo with the Hurricane Soda Black lantern.

Skogsberg & Smart is frequently featured in various design magazines, and in Femina magazine you can see Hurricane Lily in the home of Nikki Tibbles. Nikki is the founder of Wild at Heart, which is known for creating magnificent events and weddings with magnificent floral creations in focus. In 2015, Skogsberg & Smart was nominated for the Swedish Design Prize in the Photo & Illustration category.

Today, the brand is represented in many boutiques, hotels and restaurants around the world, and continues to design exclusive, sought-after and modern lamps and candle holders. Based on a clean, simple and exclusive lamp, they have created a collection that grows and evolves with quality and craftsmanship.
