Flemming Lassen and Arne Jacobsen designed the exclusive Mayor AJ6 sofa as early as 1939, during a project for the City Hall in the Danish city of Søllerød. Today, the Mayor AJ6 sofa is produced by the brand &tradition. The sofa was developed for the City Halls living room beside the lounge. The architects gave the sofa an attractive and contemporary design, with a high back adorned with lots of decorative buttons. The brand now also offers the larger AJ5 model, which is available in our online store.

The new Mayor AJ6 sofa from &tradition is made by hand by highly skilled craftsmen, with a sturdy solid wood frame. You can choose the base in oiled walnut, as well as in oak with a charcoal, black lacquer, or white oil finish. Two comfortable seats rest atop, lined with elastic bands and upholstered with CMHR foam. We have displayed the Mayor AJ6 sofa in Velvet fabric in a variety of colors.
