Wire Portable Lamp is a portable table lamp from Danish
Verpan . The lamp was designed by
Verner Panton in 1972 and builds on the original's sculptural design language in a portable design. The opal plastic lampshade rests on top of an open steel wire frame, which provides a graphic design expression and a soft, indirect light. The design balances between industrial structure and poetic form, typical of Panton's design during the 1970s. This portable model maintains this balance while adding functionality through its flexibility and wireless use. The table lamp charges in approximately seven hours and shines for up to nine hours at maximum brightness.
