The Lounge Chair Ottoman was designed in 1956 by Charles Ray Eames and is produced by Vitra. The chair with accompanying footstool was designed with the idea of combining ultimate comfort with elegance. The same manufacturing method has been used since the mid-1950s when the chair was first produced, and it is considered one of the earliest modern classics of 20th century furniture design. It can be placed in spacious rooms with a sofa or on its own as a reading lounge chair.The difference between Classic and New is that New has a more generous height, developed in response to the increase in the average height of people around the world.
