The Eames Lounge Ottoman was designed in 1956 by Charles and Ray Eames and is produced by Vitra. The famous footstool was designed with the idea of combining ultimate comfort with elegance. The same manufacturing method has been used largely since the mid-1950s when it began production and the footstool, together with armchairs in the same series, is considered one of the foremost modern classics of 20th century furniture design.
