Sampo Chair

Sampo Chair is an armchair from the Dagmar brand. It is designed by Christian Sorensen and is based on a model that was developed in Copenhagen in the early 1940s. The armchair is made in Sweden with a solid beech frame, joined together using traditional carpentry methods. The seat is fully sprung, padded with foam and upholstered in sheepskin or textile from suppliers such as Skandilock, Pierre Frey and Dedar. The sweeping lines, rounded armrests and high back characterize an early Danish design language that has been interpreted with a contemporary expression. The legs are made of European oak or American walnut, which harmonizes with the whole. The armchair is designed to provide both visual presence and comfort. It can be combined with the footstool in the same series for a unified expression.
