Aplomb is a pendant lamp from Foscarini, Italy, designed by Lucidi Pevere in 2010. The lamp is characterised by its slender, tapered form and a choice of material that gives the design a distinct, tactile character.
The pendant lamp is made from a specially developed concrete mixture created specifically for the Aplomb series. The texture of the material plays a central role in its expression and is combined with a clean, geometric silhouette. The contrast between the robust character of the concrete and the lamp’s precise proportions gives Aplomb a balanced and understated design language. The light is focused downwards, creating a distinct cone of light on the surface below the lamp. This makes the Aplomb pendant lamp a combination of direct lighting and a distinctive material expression, where construction, form and light work together without unnecessary details.
