Canvas Chair 21

Canvas 21 Chair is a lounge chair designed in 1968 by Børge Mogensen for the Danish furniture brand Fredericia Furniture. The chair is based on a simple construction where solid wood, linen canvas and brass are combined with Mogensen's work with proportions and function. The solid wood is FSC-certified and the fittings are made of solid brass, a material that develops a patina over time.

The armchair has a seat, back and armrests in 100% linen canvas. The parts are interchangeable and are combined with the chair's solid wood frame. The canvas is made of plain woven linen and is a durable material.

Soap-treated wood has a character that is close to untreated wood and develops a patina over time. Oil-treated wood also develops a natural patina with use. Lacquered surfaces are slightly more sensitive than varnished surfaces but develop a patina over time, while minor scratches become less prominent.
