Pelagus is an outdoor sun lounger from Fritz Hansen in Denmark, designed in collaboration with Stockholm-based Note Design Studio. The sun lounger is part of the Pelagus collection, characterised by a contemporary, pared-back design language with a focus on comfort and flexibility. The collection is designed to fit just as naturally into urban environments as it does close to nature.
The frame is made from teak and combined with a seat in weather-resistant Sling fabric. The light, transparent appearance of the textile creates a distinct contrast with the solid wooden construction. The backrest can be adjusted to five different positions for lying down, reclining or sitting more upright. Pelagus is fitted with wooden wheels, making it easy to move and adapt to the position of the sun or the use of the outdoor space. For additional comfort, the sun lounger can be complemented with up to two teak armrests. The combination of adjustability, carefully considered materials and clean lines makes Pelagus well suited to relaxation on the terrace, by the pool or in the garden.
