Virkelyst is a collection of outdoor furniture from Fritz Hansen in Denmark, designed by the design studio Says Who with Nikolaj Duve and Kasper Meldgaard. The collection is characterised by clean lines, understated details and generous proportions, drawing inspiration from 1950s Danish design interpreted through a contemporary Scandinavian design language.
The frame is made from 100% teak and combined with thick, soft cushions that create a balanced contrast with the clean lines of the wood. The weather-resistant upholstery is Oeko-Tex® certified, colourfast, lightfast, and water- and dirt-repellent. The material is also resistant to mould and designed for outdoor use. The cushions feature open-cell foam that allows both water and air to pass through, helping them dry quickly after rain. Virkelyst is designed for outdoor spaces and terraces where a high level of comfort is combined with materials and construction suited to outdoor environments. The collection is suitable for both relaxation and longer periods of conversation and socialising.
