Norr Mälarstrand 01 Green/Black is a wool rug from the Swedish brand Nordic Knots. The rug was designed by Stockholm-based architect Andreas Martin-Löf and introduced as part of the AML Norr Mälarstrand collection. Inspired by the Norr Mälarstrand area, where classicism meets modernism, the design reflects architectural clarity with its linear and geometric expression.
The collection is handmade in limited editions, with each piece produced with precision. The rug is handwoven in Bhadohi, India, using New Zealand wool that combines softness with durability. Its cut pile measures 14 millimeters in thickness, creating a tactile surface and a defined presence in any setting.
As part of Nordic Knots’ range of wool rugs, this model works equally well in living rooms and more formal interiors. The Green/Black palette offers a balance between graphic contrast and subtle tonality. The rug is Goodweave™ certified, ensuring an ethical and transparent production process.
