Mr. Magoo is a floor lamp from Stilnovo, Italy, designed by Mirco Crosatto in 2010. The fixture is characterised by a softly rounded, floating form supported by a long, curved stem. Its flowing lines draw their character from organic forms, giving the lamp a distinct presence without dominating the room. Mr. Magoo received the Red Dot Design Award in 2015.
The light source is fully integrated into the white polyethylene diffuser, which distributes a soft and even light. Dimmable topLED technology allows the light intensity to be adjusted, while the diffuse illumination contributes to a pleasant, understated atmosphere. The construction consists of a white-painted metal frame that continues into a matching stem and base. The consistent colour scheme and combination of materials unify the floor lamp’s sculptural expression, from the slender arch to the voluminous diffuser. The result is a balanced composition in which form, construction and light work together.
