String metal shelf with high edge is a shelf from the Swedish brand String . It is part of the flexible String System , designed by Nisse Strinning in 1949, where each part is combined according to function and expression.
The shelf is made of perforated metal and has a 7 cm edge. It is available in widths of 58 cm and 78 cm and in depths of 20 cm and 30 cm. Mounted in wire or plexiglass end caps of the corresponding depth and can be moved as needed. The high edge gives the shelf a clearer shape and hides the contents without completely closing it.
The perforation makes it possible to add accessories such as hooks, rods or spears to adjust the functionality. The shelf can be used in the kitchen, hallway or study where both structure and variety are desired. Each package contains one shelf.
