Africa Chair

Africa from the Italian brand Tacchini is designed by Tobia Scarpa. The chair is a perfect synthesis of structure, form and function in a timeless sculpture that celebrates the constructive and expressive power of wood. The backrest is made in a single piece and then refined into two mirrored sections, with a hand-crafted finish that reveals layers of different types of wood, creating an exciting effect. The backrest and rear legs, which are only joined at the base, form a wide gap, which gives the seat flexibility and evokes a totem-like image.
