ES17 is a corkscrew from the Italian brand Alessi. The model was designed by Ettore Sottsass and was put into production in 2021 as part of the Alessi 100 Values Collection. The corkscrew is made of beech wood and comes in black, yellow and white. The designed volumes create an ergonomic shape that lies comfortably in the hand and makes the corkscrew easy to use when opening wine bottles. The model is manufactured in Italy, near Alessi's headquarters, through a process where the turning is partly done by hand. The beech wood comes from sustainably managed forests and is colored with water-based and completely solvent-free paints.
