Vite is an espresso machine designed in 2026 by Philippe Malouin for the Italian brand Alessi. The espresso machine is designed as a small industrial sculpture where the shape takes its starting point from a screw, “vite” in Italian, and at the same time refers to how the coffee maker is used. The model is made of aluminum with a warm gray container and handles and knobs in thermoplastic. The contrast between the natural aluminum and the colored part highlights the mechanical character of the construction. The color scheme is taken from machines and tools in Alessi's workshop and thus ties in with an industrial design language.
The espresso machine has a magnetic steel base and is suitable for all types of stovetops, including induction.
