Boalum is a lamp designed by Livio Castiglioni and Gianfranco Frattini for Artemide in 1970. The lamp, which resembles a snake of infinite light, is made of transparent, flexible PCV coated with resin, making it virtually indestructible. Boalum emits a diffuse light and with its timeless design is an outstanding addition to the winter wonderland. The lamp can be installed and connected with up to four units. Thanks to its flexibility, which makes it unique, it can be placed on the ground or on a table, hung or spun to invent new light shows every day. Boalum today comes with integrated LED lighting that both provides high power and is more energy efficient.

Designed in 1970 by Livio Castiglioni and Gianfranco Frattini and defined by Domus as "a snake of unnoticeable light", it immediately became part of the history of Italian and world design.
