Mortise shelf 175x41x82 cm

Mortise is a shelving unit designed by Juntos Projects. Simple forms and balanced proportions meet visible structural details. The open structure gives the unit an airy appearance and makes its construction a distinct part of the design.

Visible joints highlight the craftsmanship behind Mortise and reflect Juntos Projects’ interest in natural materials and considered construction. The shelves and supporting parts work together in a pared-back form where every detail has a clear function. The result is a piece of furniture that feels both light and stable. The Mortise shelving unit offers flexible open storage for books and art as well as personal items. Its open construction makes the contents part of the whole and gives the unit a natural place in the living room and elsewhere in the home.
