Rivet Box Table is a table from the Danish brand Frama. The furniture was designed by Jonas Trampedach in 2011 and is part of the Rivet Series, where a special riveting technique defines the construction and expression.
The table is made of raw, laser-cut aluminum sheets that are joined together by hand with hammers in a cold forming process. The technique allows for perpendicular joints between separate parts and gives each piece an individual character. The table can be placed vertically or horizontally and functions as a table, storage unit, pedestal or a combination of these. The construction can withstand a load of up to 15 kg and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
The untreated surface of the aluminum means that scratches and natural variations can occur right from the start. Over time, the material develops a patina with visible marks and shifts without rusting or deteriorating.
