The timeless rug Ingrid Icon is designed by Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg for the Swedish Kasthall. Ahead of its 125th anniversary in 2014, Kasthall developed the Striped Ingrid with inspiration from the rag rug that has been on Swedish floors since the mid-19th century. Used textiles from clothing and the household were cut into long strips that were then woven into striped rugs in all sorts of colors. During the 1960s and 70s, handicrafts weaved rag rugs with clearer patterns and shapes. Striped Ingrid combines Swedish weaving traditions with a modern expression and fits in both urban environments and country settings.

The Ingrid rug is a woven rug made of 100% wool, making it a hard-wearing rug made to be used. With its beautiful structure and muted color scales, the carpet is easy to place in many different rooms, from private homes to public environments.

Dimensional deviations may occur of up to 5%, this is due to the craft processes the carpet undergoes and the fact that the carpet consists of natural materials.
