The original version of the Lampe Gras was designed by Bernard-Albin Gras in 1921. It was made entirely without screws or welded joints and was therefore ahead of its time. It has a base made of steel and optional shades in coated aluminum or pure copper. This version comes with an on/off switch on the base that allows the lamp to be mounted stylishly on the wall with no visible cable. If you require a light switch on the cable, see No304 CA.
The original Lampe Gras was a table lamp and today the Paris-based company DCW éditions produces both wall and floor lamps in Gras' timeless format. Feel free to combine several from the same series and place Bernard-Albin Gras' classic design in several of your home's rooms.
Please note that copper is a natural material and that the raw copper version is delivered without surface treatment. As it is untreated, patina will occur over time and depending on where the product is placed. The raw copper will also look different as the process progresses and the copper has a more even tarnish.
