Pipistrello Medium is a table lamp from the Italian manufacturer Martinelli Luce, designed by Gae Aulenti. Since its introduction in 1965, the model has become a recognised icon of modern lighting design, combining engineering and form in an expression that is both distinctive and functional.
The lamp features a telescopic base in polished stainless steel, allowing the height to be adjusted for greater flexibility in a variety of settings. Its opal white methacrylate diffuser provides a soft, diffused light, while the lacquered aluminium base and control knob create a balanced contrast in materials and finishes. The integrated LED light source is dimmable and controlled via an electronic driver positioned on the power cord. Pipistrello Medium table lamp combines a distinctive design language with practical functionality. Its adjustable construction and comfortable illumination make it equally suitable as ambient lighting or for more focused use.
