The Norr Mälarstrand 03 wool rug is a handwoven rug from the Swedish brand Nordic Knots. Designed by Andreas Martin-Löf, it is part of the Modernist Collection, a series that pays tribute to the iconic simplicity of early modernism and Swedish functionalist design. The rug is inspired by the architect’s home and studio at Norr Mälarstrand in Stockholm, an area where classicism and modernism intersect.
Produced in small editions, the collection is defined by bold geometric patterns and architectural lines. The Norr Mälarstrand 03 rug is crafted from exceptionally soft and durable New Zealand wool with a cut pile measuring 14 mm in thickness. The refined color palette combines muted neutrals with vibrant accents, giving it versatility across different settings.
The rug works equally well in living rooms, dining areas, and bedrooms, and its design allows for pairing with both modern and traditional furniture. As part of a Goodweave™-certified production, it is made under ethical conditions.
