H55 is a sun lounger designed by Björn Hultén in 1955 and manufactured by Skargaarden. In its simplicity, H55 is everything you need in a sun lounger - comfort and elegance in one. Made entirely of wood with a durable seat in a variety of fabrics.
H55 is the abbreviation of Helsingborg Exhibition in 1955, where the sun lounger was first presented. A number of well-known designers were represented at the fair: including Alvar Aalto, Finn Juhl and Arne Jacobsen. Hultén's H55 sun lounger, however, stood out from the crowd - the simple materials combined with a striking Scandinavian elegance were a big hit and the chair is still appreciated today.
