The Panton Chair was designed by Verner Panton in 1960. The chair was put into batch production seven years later in collaboration with Vitra. The Panton Chair is the first chair ever produced in a single piece of plastic. Not until 1999 could the chair be produced according to its original design. This was achieved with the help of durable colored plastic with a glossy and matte finish.
Panton Junior is completely identical to the original chair in terms of material and shape. However, this version is 25 percent smaller, hence the name Junior. The chair is perfect for children and is equally at home in the playroom, schools, or other public settings. It can be used on a variety of surfaces.
