020 Koppa crate

Koppa is a storage box from Finnish brand Vaarnii. Designed by Philippe Malouin and made from solid Finnish pine, it takes the familiar storage box as its starting point. Its simple and functional construction reflects Vaarnii’s clear focus on material and robust form.

Koppa comes in two sizes for different storage needs. The large model is sized for LP records. The smaller model suits singles as well as printed materials and smaller objects. The boxes can be placed on shelves and stacked to create coordinated storage arrangements. An integrated handle makes them easy to move as needed. Solid pine gives Koppa a sturdy and straightforward character. The wood’s natural grain also forms part of its appearance. The construction is intended for repeated use and to age over time. Marks and traces of everyday life become a natural part of how the material develops.
