Baia Counter Stool is a bar stool from Danish brand dk3, designed by Kensaku Oshiro in 2025. Building on the Baia Chair from 2021, it combines Danish and Japanese design principles in an expression that is both balanced and precise.

The distinctive C-shaped backrest, inspired by a bay, creates a soft contrast to the sleek chrome-plated steel frame. The construction is technically sophisticated, combining flat steel and bent steel tubes through carefully executed welding. Thoughtful proportions, with a shorter distance between the front legs, create a sense of visual lightness and clear symmetry, while the integrated footrest enhances comfort. The seat and backrest are upholstered in leather, adding a tactile quality and a warm contrast to the metal. The padded seat provides a comfortable sitting experience and reinforces the stool’s functionality at a kitchen island or bar counter. Baia Counter Stool is a well-balanced design where materials, craftsmanship, and form interact in a calm yet distinctive expression.
