Pia bar stool

Pia Counter Stool is a bar stool from the Danish brand Cadovius, designed by Poul Cadovius in 1959, where a light and period-typical form meets a carefully considered and understated construction. It builds on the idea of creating furniture that feels lightweight both visually and physically, with a focus on balance and proportion.

The bar stool features slender, tapered legs in solid wood with a hand-sanded rounded finish at the top and finger-jointed front legs. The seat is handwoven in paper cord, creating a lively surface and natural flexibility. The moulded backrest, together with the integrated footrest, provides stability and comfortable support while seated. Materials such as solid wood, veneer, and paper cord contribute to giving each piece its own distinct character.
