Filet is a bowl from Gien, France, designed for use throughout the day – from breakfast to lighter meals. Its hand-painted decoration creates a soft and balanced expression, bringing a subtle elegance to both everyday occasions and more social gatherings.
Crafted from earthenware with a capacity of 35 cl and a diameter of 17 cm, the bowl features a warm and lively surface created by the natural composition of sand, clay and kaolin. Its form is generous and functional, suited to everything from yoghurt and fruit to soups and desserts. Each piece is shaped and finished in Gien’s own workshops through a process involving multiple firings and a series of carefully executed stages carried out by experienced ceramic artisans. The result is a breakfast bowl with subtle variations, where the handcrafted expression contributes to a thoughtful and cohesive table setting over time.
