Platina is an oil lamp from the Swedish brand Klong. The lamp is designed by Broberg & Ridderstråle and is a further development of the classic Patina oil lamps, where the traditional function is combined with an updated design language.
The oil lamp is made of stainless steel and is available in several different designs. The burner is made of nickel-plated brass and is complemented by glass and a cotton wick. When the oil lamp is lit, the flame gives a soft and candlelight, while the construction makes the lamp a free-standing object in the interior. The combination of stainless steel, nickel-plated brass and glass defines the lamp's material expression and ties together its different parts.
It can be placed on a table, a shelf or other surface in the home where candles are used as part of the lighting. The shape builds on the Patina series while the materials and details give the model its own expression.
