Folding Ribbon Amber Wool Rug

Folding Ribbon is a rug designed by Campbell-Rey for the Nordic Knots brand. Campbell-Rey has designed with a colorful, Art Deco-influenced feel and floral motifs from the Gustavian era – Nordic neoclassicism. Common motifs from the period dating back to the 1780s, such as the wreath and the folded ribbon, combined with trends from the history of garden design form the basis of the collection. The rug is a modern interpretation of the ribbons and tails found on Gustavian-style furniture from the late 18th century. In raspberry pink and amber, the 3D trompe l'œil pattern looks strikingly modern – despite having its roots in a 250-year-old style. The rug is handmade in small editions, with only a limited number of copies available in each size. It can be elegantly placed in a living room, bedroom or hallway where it acts as a graphic and tactile point in the room.
