BM80 Mogensen Shaker Dining Table 90 x 90 cm

The BM80 Mogensen Shaker Table is a dining table from the Danish furniture brand Fredericia Furniture. The table was designed in 1961 by Børge Mogensen and is based on the functional simplicity of the Shaker tradition and Mogensen's work with proportions and construction.

The square dining table measures 90 x 90 cm and is made of solid oak, with both the frame and table top in solid wood. The construction is characterized by staggered joints and visible brass screws that make it clear how the different parts of the table are joined. The legs are mounted with a visible brass screw, a detail that recurs in the expression of the table. The table has a demountable construction and is delivered unassembled for assembly on site.

The design follows the principles that characterize the series and reflects Mogensen's view of furniture as functional everyday objects.
