Båstad Red Wool Rug

Båstad Red is a handwoven wool rug from Swedish Nordic Knots. The rug takes its name from Båstad in southern Sweden and is inspired by the region's textile tradition from the early 1900s. It is part of the Båstad collection, which is produced in small editions with limited availability per size. Made in Bhadohi, India, from New Zealand wool, it offers a soft and durable surface with a thickness of 5 mm. As a handwoven wool rug, it has a plain weave design and is reversible, allowing use of both sides. It is suitable for living rooms, bedrooms and other interiors where flexibility and material choice are central. The design was developed in Stockholm and relates to historical textile expressions. The Goodweave certification ensures responsible production. For maintenance, gentle vacuuming without rotating brushes, immediate treatment of stains and cutting loose threads instead of pulling are recommended to preserve the quality of the rug over time.
