5070 spice set

5070 is a spice set from the Italian brand Alessi. It was designed by Ettore Sottsass and was put into production in 1978.

The set consists of four containers adapted for oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. They are made of crystal glass and 18/10 stainless steel with a polished surface. The parts are collected in a common holder that makes it possible to carry and serve all four spices in a single movement.

Thanks to its aesthetic and functional properties, the spice set has become a true industry standard. The containers are so robustly designed that they are almost indestructible and easy to clean. Last but not least, its shape perfectly symbolizes the gesture of inviting.
