The Tolomeo Desk Lamp from Artemide is an admirable and timeless desk lamp that has taken the world by storm since the first variant was designed by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina in 1987. The Tolomeo Desk Lamp E27 is available in several different designs and is said to be the most popular desk lamp in the world today. What made Tolomeo so popular is the flexibility where the entire lamp body can be easily adjusted with one hand to direct the light exactly where it is desired. Tolomeo is made entirely of aluminum and steel and has a lamp head that can be rotated 360°. This model has an on/off button and comes without a sensor.
"No desk lamp should require you to use two hands to adjust properly." said Michele De Lucchi, and apart from that, all variants have in common that they stand for simple function, elegance and solid craftsmanship. In 1989, Tolomeo's designers received the Compasso d'Oro.
