CH53 is a classically simple and functional footstool from Carl Hansen & Søn in the true Hans J. Wegner spirit. The footstool bears a clear kinship with the designer's many other pieces of furniture for the brand, and has roots in the American Shaker movement. With us you can buy the CH53 stool with a height of 39 or 43 centimeters. The lower version is also adapted to work in a set together with the CH44 armchair.
Here you see Carl Hansen's CH53 in solid beech, upholstered with a seat in natural braided paper cord. As with many of Wegner's other works, the iconic envelope braiding has been used here too. The solid wood is also available in several different surface treatments, such as black lacquer, oil and soap. In our online store you will also find variants in oak as well as with a black seat.
