Hans J. Wegner designed the CH88 chair in 1955 for Carl Hansen & Søn, but until the 100th anniversary of the collaboration with Wegner, it had only been a prototype on a desk. The chair is now produced in several versions and has become a modern favorite. The seat is made of laminated wood, the back is made of solid oak wood with a stainless steel frame. The CH88T is also available with a black powder-coated base.
