Buds 3 is a table lamp from Foscarini, Italy, designed by Rodolfo Dordoni in 2016. It is the smallest model in the Buds family and is characterised by a compact size and a clean, softly shaped silhouette in which the glass takes a prominent role.
The shade is made of hand-blown glass, crafted in five layers and finished with a glossy surface. The artisanal process gives the glass a rich depth, while the glossy finish highlights the lamp’s simple form and soft lines. The glass shade is combined with a transparent base that gives Buds 3 a visually light expression while highlighting the clean geometry of the shade. The combination of five-layer blown glass, the transparent base and compact proportions creates a well-balanced table lamp with a clear focus on material, form and craftsmanship.
