Rivet Shelf

Rivet Shelf is a wall shelf from the Danish brand Frama. It was designed by Jonas Trampedach in 2011 and is part of the Rivet Series, where the construction is based on a special riveting technique.

The shelf is made of raw, laser-cut aluminum sheets that are joined together by hand with hammers in a cold forming process. The method allows for perpendicular joints between separate parts and gives each piece a unique character. The shelf functions as a storage and display surface in a cohesive format and is easily assembled with a separate back plate. The construction can withstand up to 10 kg depending on the wall material and assembly and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

The untreated aluminum surface means that scratches and natural variations can occur. Over time, the material develops a patina with marks and shifts without rusting or deteriorating.
