Cutter Stool

Cutter is a stool from Fritz Hansen in Denmark, designed by Danish designer Niels Hvass. The stool is part of the Cutter collection, characterised by a minimalist design language where clean lines and practical functions come together in furniture and accessories designed for everyday needs.

The compact wooden construction features the collection’s distinctive slatted design, giving Cutter Stool a simple, graphic form. Its smaller size makes the stool flexible and easy to place in different areas of the home. It can be used as a seat or as a small side table, for example in the hallway, bedroom or living room. The teak version is also suitable for outdoor use. Niels Hvass works with a clear focus on the user and strives to combine function with a simple and considered expression. In Cutter, this is reflected in the uncomplicated construction and the possibility of using the same piece of furniture in several different ways. The result is a versatile wooden stool with a clear function and a pared-back expression.
