Selandia is an outdoor furniture set from Fritz Hansen in Denmark, designed by Danish architects and designers Anders and Lars Hegelund. The set consists of a round table and two chairs from the Selandia collection, characterised by soft curves and an elegant Nordic design language with subtle French influences.
Both the table and chairs are made from teak and feature folding constructions that make them easy to adapt and store. One side of the table can be folded down to create a compact, semicircular table, while both sides can be folded away when the table is not in use. The chairs take up little space when folded and feature carefully considered details, with the slotted screws consistently aligned in the same direction. Selandia creates a complete dining area for two people and is particularly well suited to balconies, terraces or smaller outdoor spaces. The softly shaped lines give the table and chairs a cohesive expression, while the flexible constructions make the furniture set practical where space is limited.
