Floatation is a ceiling lamp designed in 1980 by the German brand Ingo Maurer. The lamp is made of white paper from Japan, metal and features three upward-facing shades that give off a light and harmonious light. The Japanese paper is slightly wrinkled, which is a conscious design choice. The lamp is named Floatation because the neat cables that hold the lamp up are barely visible and make the shades appear to float in the air.
The height of the lamp can be adjusted and it is advantageously placed above the dining table, in the living room or in the bedroom. Floatation is available in three different sizes.
