The Ceras 1 wool rug is a handwoven rug from the Spanish brand Nanimarquina. Nanimarquina collaborates with weavers in India, Nepal, and Pakistan, combining traditional techniques with a contemporary expression and respect for the origin of the materials.
The rug was designed by Nani Marquina in 2022 and is part of the Ceras collection. The series is based on hand-drawn chalk compositions, with colors chosen intuitively. The textile result is recreated using handwoven kilim technique, preserving irregularities and tonal variations.
Ceras 1 is made of 100% hand-spun Afghan wool. The matte surface and natural variations of the wool create a soft yet graphically distinct texture. The rug is suitable for both private and public spaces where a subtle textile presence is desired.
