Apartamento Cookbook #9

This edition revolves around sandwich recipes – from hot to cold, open to closed, vegetarian, grilled and even a sweet version with ice cream. The book collects 16 recipes that show how the sandwich is interpreted and refined in different cuisines and contexts. From classic flatbread to rye bread with character – the contributions examine how simple components can become the basis for meals with a clear identity. The result is a wide selection of approaches where simplicity meets depth of flavor.

The contributors include Alex Loveless, Alison Roman, Imogen Kwok, Nicolai Nørregaard, Rirkrit Tiravanija and Zélikha Dinga. The recipes reflect an international breadth, but with a focus on the variation possibilities of the everyday format.

The illustrations by Orfeo Tagiuri frame the book graphically and give each spread a distinct rhythm.
