Scandinavia - Recipes and Ingredients Cookbook

Scandinavia - Recipes and Ingredients is a cookbook from the British publisher Octopus. The book contains 55 recipes and follows the Nordic seasons through Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Iceland.

Each chapter focuses on a season and combines classic dishes with contemporary interpretations of Nordic cuisine. The recipes range from Danish rye bread and pickled herring to rhubarb meringue and skyr sorbet - with local ingredients and regional traditions as a starting point. The photographs capture both environments and meals, with an expression that deepens the story of the Nordic food landscape.

The book links to holidays, harvest times and seasons of ingredients, and provides a holistic picture of Nordic food culture. It is hardcover, has colored illustrations and comprises 272 pages, where recipes and stories are woven together.

Scandinavia - Recipes and Ingredients is part of New Mag's selected cookbooks about Nordic food and is suitable for both home cooks and those who want to understand Scandinavian food culture through ingredients, season and location.
