The Light Speaker from Transparent Sound is a small and portable speaker that is easy to take with you wherever you go. The dome-shaped design spreads the sound 360 degrees and has a battery life of a full 10 hours, which makes this speaker optimal to have with you when you're on the go. The speaker is IPX2 rated, which means you can take it outdoors.
The timeless design language is an amalgamation of an omnidirectional speaker and a traditional glass lantern, where a classic design has been combined with new technology. The inspiration is taken from a natural, living candle and the fact that historically people have always gathered around light and fire. Transparent Sound has analyzed the properties of real flames to make the Light Speaker act as its own version of a bonfire. Therefore, there is a glowing, vibrating base-and-light element that sits in the bottom of the unit. The color variations and subtle flickering that accompanies the music have been carefully tuned to create the feeling of a living flame where vibrations and flickering together create a natural, vivid light and sound experience.
